1. Update on SJICF brown bag fundraising event - Nina, Marcy, Barbara
Val Curtis gave the presentation Key points:
Awareness - stay on brand; know audience, tell them where they get info Engage - not just with info but get the audience to want to participate
- audiences are more interested in videos (ideas: Bill Shaw, RH room) - possible to show SIFRI members collecting items for the stockings
-Educate - our FYI (Follow Your Investment) newsletter will let donors know what we are doing with our money. Nina will continue to work on it
Editorial calendar - a Facebook campaign - have a beginning, middle and end regarding any fundraising event.
Boost our FB posts to increase our audience (readers of our page) - pay Facebook to get our post in more in-boxes
- low cost - $20 Can reach people outside your followers- suggested we should be ones to boost and post, but we need others to interact
with those that respond to our posts, and interact with our followers post- members known to use Facebook could be ones to reply to those that comment on SIFRI
posts - possibles? Denise Urell, Darlene Hampton, Nancy DV - Facebook doesn’t like it when you ask for action from reader
- need to ask Nancy DeVaux to be the one to boost?
Great Idea from Marcy: Video Bill Shaw (chef at Roche) regarding our menu and post it to FB page as an enticement.
